The land surface elevation of the town is higher than the elevations of the adjoining Municipalities of Currimao and Pinili. Mountains fall under the secondary forest category and that the communal forests are located within the jurisdictions of barangays Camanga Madupayas, Nagrebcan and Labut. The rest belongs to private individuals. Generally speaking, the terrain of the municipality is flat. The mountainous portions are located at the eastern and southern sections of the town, just like the condition obtaining in the Municipalities of Pinili, Ilocos Norte and Sinait,. The highest elevation of mountains is 441 meters above sea level.
